Achona is the high school student newspaper of the Academy of the Holy Names, which has an enrollment of 420 students in the all-girls high school. Two classes of Journalism I and II Honors manage, produce, and publish all news stories on the site.
Stories are published every seven days, as the school schedule rotates on a block (thereby only allowing the class to meet two or three times a week).
In celebration of its seventy-three year tradition of excellence in bringing the Academy community the news, Achona is underwritten by its alumni.
