South Tampa is one of the more expensive areas of Tampa and dining on a student’s budget seems impossible. Yet, maneuvering around South Tampa’s restaurants and go to food locations strategically, can help anyone get more for their buck. Knowing what to order on the menu, what to avoid, and how to plan out a day of meals can help save money. Sun up to sundown, here is the go to guide to for eating every meal in South Tampa for under $30.

Achona made three separate meal plans to follow at some popular restaurants to visit for a day on the town. Each plan ranges from the most money spent, to the least amount spent, all staying under $30. The total amounts do not include tax or tip.

Senior Kendall Perez, who frequents South Tampa as a dining location, says  “I think that most places in South Tampa are very expensive, especially the places I like to eat. Daily Eats is perfect for getting a big meal when I don’t feel like spending a ton of money.”
