Are eyelash extensions worth the hype?

April 19, 2017

Elle lehman says, “I only have gotten eyelash extensions done once. I made the mistake of getting the ones that were really dramatic and they only looked good when I had makeup. I regretted getting them after a while because they did not look natural on me. They require a lot of maintenance and eventhough they are said to be harmless, I felt like my lashes were less full than before when I got them removed.”

Eyelash extensions are very popular among celebrities and young women. They not only speed up a beauty routine, but also help one feel glamorous 24/7. It makes mornings a lot easier when your eyelashes are already flawless and there is no need to apply falsies or mascara. Eyelash extensions do not harm your eyes at all. There are three types of eyelash extensions: mink, synthetic, and silk. All eyelashes come in different lengths and prices.

Junior Jaed Seymor says, “Having eyelash extensions was a lot of fun and I enjoyed not having to ever put mascara on when I went out. I got them because my natural eyelashes are non-existent, so I really needed them. I recommend them to anyone!”

How are they applied?

It can take one to two hours to apply a full set of eyelashes. Each person will have a custom length and thickness depending on their eyelash condition. The eyelashes are applied with a harmless adhesive glue and are said to not damage the natural eyelashes at all.  Your eyes are closed during the entire application.

Lissa Ogden says, “They’re high maintenance but definitely worth every dollar and minute. It’s nice to roll out of bed and not look awful. They deserve all the hype they get!”

How long do they last?

As long as the eyelash extensions are not rubbed frequently, they should last six to eight weeks. Most people get touch ups during the six to eight week period so that they are always at their best.

Where can you get them done in Tampa?

The different length and fullness allow the eye to have either a more natural or dramatic look. Eyelash extensions are falsies without the hassle.
