AHN swim team makes a splash against Hillsborough High School

The Academy swim team triumphed over Hillsborough High School on Thursday, September 26 with a sweeping win. The team’s current record is 3-0, with one meet being canceled due to weather. The team has had a dual meet once a week since the beginning of the season.

The team cheered each other on as AHN won almost every race. AHN stayed in the lead the whole time which gave the swimmers a chance to swim different events. Although this was an easy win for the AHN swimmers, they used this opportunity to do their best.

Spectator Bridget Davis commented, “Even though this wasn’t the most challenging meet, it was really fun watching everyone perform well in their events.”

The meet was fun for all participants due to the lively spirit shown by both teams. Senior swimmer, Margret Shumake said, “It was a really great win for the team and we are hoping to continue going undefeated.”

The swim team only has three more dual meets before going on to districts, regionals, and then states. Come out and support your AHN swim team while you still can!
