Academy Girls Are Pleasantly Surprised by How Their Friends Perceive Them

Freshman Joely Barkett has a group of supportive friends who express that on of Joely’s best qualities is being a friend they can always count on and go to for advice.
In 2013, Dove released a video called “Dove Real Beauty Sketches” to show how people, women specifically, are instinctively critical of their appearance and personality. ACHONA decided to select a few Academy girls, and get them to candidly describe themselves. Then, their friends were recruited to describe how they perceive their friend. Results proved that when describing themselves, the girls felt more flawed than their friends believed they were.
